Fox Friendship Enterprises was formed as a Kansas-based LLC in 2006 after Tom Fox and his wife, Kim Hoa, had taken a number of family members and friends back to Vietnam, Kim Hoa's native country, and one Tom had spent a number of years in during the 1960s (About Tom Fox)Having shared their "second home" with these Vietnam tourists, many of them friends through the publication at which Tom had been editor and publisher for a quarter century, the National Catholic Reporter, and having received more requests from others to travel back with them, they decided to go again. It was then that they set up a small "enterprise" and call it "Fox Friendship Enterprises." That's because it was in the spirit of friendship with the Vietnamese people that the trips made the best sense.
